Meet Bini the Opabinia regalis, the adorable and iconic Cambrian plushie based on the latest scientific research, perfect for budding paleontologists and fossil enthusiasts alike. Bini is intricately detailed, complete with gills on his lateral swimming lobes and the correct number of spines in his fused frontal claws (on the tip of his proboscis), ensuring an authentic representation of this fascinating prehistoric creature.

Found in the Burgess Shale of British Columbia at the Walcott and Raymond Quarries, Bini hails from the Middle Cambrian period. Opabinia had five eyes, multiple small walking legs alongside swimming lobes with gills on top, a long proboscis ending in claws and a mouth on the underside of its head, making it one of the most bizarre prehistoric organisms ever discovered. From The Shale Plushies presents Bini as their second scientifically accurate Cambrian plush toy, letting you cuddle with creatures of the past in a fun and educational way.

These plushies are perfect for paleo collectors, teachers, and institutions. They offer a wide variety of uses, thanks to their accuracy and fun colors based on living animals, which share a similar niche! Bini's vibrant colors are inspired by a modern-day small reef predator, Alitta succinea, aka the pile worm (Polychaeta)!

Bini was designed and illustrated by the talent of Paleoartist Saureal with the help of Paleontologist Brennan Martens (BrennanThePaleoDude).
